What kind of video cards can a dv6000 handle and how hard is it to upgrade the dv6000, please don't say from general experience its hard or impossible. I need someone who has specific experience with the dv6000. So re-cap, what is it possible? what can it handle? links? suggestions of where to buy a new one. I am looking for gaming cards along the lines of WoW.|||The Go 7200 you have in there gives off pretty good graphics, but unfortunately for you, it's integrated.
If you're going to do anything, you might as well put in a better hard drive and some gaming ram if you wish.
I have a POS laptop and it runs well enough in Dalaran with medium graphics settings, so you'll be doin' better off than me and I've got 1.5GB's of ram.
Take what I say into consideration, you won't regret it.
-----------------------
Your laptop can hold up to 2GB's total. I'm not sure if what I'm about to say is the same for your laptop, but with some laptops if you have 64 bit windows installed, you can push it to 3GB's total. That would be a single 2GB stick and a single 1GB stick.
But, honestly, with what you have in your computer, you should be happy with two 1GB sticks.
I suggest you use some DDR2 PC4200 instead of DDR PC3500.
Go here for some great ram at great prices =].
