Hi I bought a laptop for this past school year and was looking to upgrade my video card. Bought a 1000 dollar laptop from Dell and it comes with a piece of crap video card. It is a ATI Radeon x1200. Is this possible to be changed? Thanks|||Umm, problem with laptops is that they're not the most part swappable, i'd check your dell laptop's documentation to see if you can upgrade and swap out video cards otherwise the video in the laptop is integrated in the laptop's motherboard and cannot be swapped.|||Usually not, even if possible it comes in premium as in Tom's Hardware just did a review recently on an ExpressCard video upgrade for something that cost nearly half of your laptop with a performance that's on a par with $70 desktop upgrade.|||No, it is not possible to change the video card on a laptop.
Either get an external video card http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/hard… or
Get a new laptop for better performance
DC|||It really depends on your laptop model. Video cards have to be redesigned for laptops and every laptop is different. Check with Dell.
