I have a hp pavilion dv6000 with a nvidia geforce 8400m gs, is it possible to upgrade the video card in it?|||Most video cards are integrated on laptops...so it's built in. So I would have to say no. Some companies do make external video cards that plugs into your express card slot. Google for one.|||No.|||Not really. Hypothetically it's possible, but not worth the hassle or cost.|||Generally speaking, no.
Only a few high-end laptops have ever had that ability. Even then, you were stuck buying the card from the manufacturer because they made sure only theirs would fit the space available/work.|||No it isn't|||The correct term for the graphics accelerator in a laptop is graphics chip, it is not a card that you can replace in a desktop, it is a chip that is soldered to the motherboard and it not worth the time and effort to upgrade the chip to what you want. When you buy a laptop with a certain graphics chip, you are stuck with the chip that came with the laptop.
Hope this information helps
