Most new laptops don't have a s-video out anymore but I want hook up my parents TV to their laptop. I know there are adapters but to my understanding the video card has to support it or else theres no signal anyway? How will I know if the video card supports it by looking at the specs before my purchase?|||You need a converter box. The video card doesn't have to support it. You can use one that is VGA output to TV adapters like this one:
