How do I find out what kind of video and sound cards my computer has?

I have a laptop with Windows XP, where do I go to find out what kind of sound and video cards I have installed?|||Go to the start menu. Press run. Type in "dxdiag" (no quotes) and press "OK". A window should pop up. If there's some kind of dialog box that pops up and asks you a question, just click anything. You can see your computer's specifications in the "General" tab. Video card information is in the "Display" tab. Sound card information is in the "Sound" tab (you might have multiple sound tabs if you have headphones plugged in.|||Look in the System control panel to find the capabilities. You will find that these devices are built in and not changeable.|||Get Nero 7 or 8 and you can use the nero info tool to know what you got...|||well on a laptop, the video and sound cards are more than likely integrated so don't plan on replacing or upgrading them. the information you seek might be found in the device manager. go to start, right click on my computer click properties. go to the hardware tab and click on device manager. try to locate your video and sound cards from that list.|||You can use the Device Manager from My computer->Manage. If you cannot find specific details about the video and sound card models, another option is to install a program like SiSoft Sandra (free version is fine) which will give you hardware information.|||here's the path assuming you have windows xp this may also work in Vista.
