Changing video cards?

I have a hp pavillion dv6000 which isnt that great of a computer to be gaming with in the first place, but i was wondering if i changed the video card to some much more superior then it already has, like a Nvidia GeForce 9400 GT, would it make a big difference or is my laptop too outdated to get much out of the graphic card. Also is there any video cards that you would recommend for a laptop.|||Laptop? Can't be done|||Because of the compactness of a laptop for portability, it is not possible to interchange video cards.|||Sry bud bit you cant swap video cards out of laptops...Usally what have is what you are stuck with|||it would work. you would just have to install all the drivers and stuff. as long as they're up to date it'll work.

and you have to make sure it fits and install it properly.

on a pc|||Nvidia cards are great but you also need to upgrade your RAM to get better performance as well... mine runs 1,024 RAM but you might need more depending on what kind of gaming you're doing.

You know, if you have an Office Max store near you, they will look at your computer and give you advice on what to get FREE OF CHARGE. All their stores do it here, so I would think they would do it everywhere - it's a big perk of being a customer there. :)

Good luck!

EDIT::::::: Sorry just realized it was a laptop... not sure you're gonna be able to do anything with it :o/ If you have a desktop you can use, the advice above will be of great help.|||GPU's in laptops are usually integrated into the motherboard, and are therefore impossible to change without specialized equipment, access to the GPU's themselves, and doing anything inside your laptop will most likely void any warranty or repair plan terms.

Furthermore, the graphics card you listed, the GeForce 9400GT, is a desktop graphics card. It isn't good for gaming anyway, and is considered an economy or standard class card. What you're looking for for a gaming card is a GeForce 9800GT+, or a GeForce GTX 750, 850, or 950.|||I dont think changing video cards for laptop is possible.
