What does it mean if the video card on motherboard went out on a laptop?

I'm trying to buy a laptop on ebay and the only problem with it is that the Video card on motherboard went out. What does this mean? How will this affect the use ?|||That means that they somehow managed to to break the graphics adapter on the motherboard. Chances are that there will be no display and even higher that it wont even work. Dont buy it. you'd need to buy a new motherboard or get it fixed.
