I need help with laptop video card info?

i want a new laptop. i see 2 that i really want. the only thing is the graphic cards. one has a NVIDIA GeForce 7150M card with 799MB video memory. the other has a ATI Radeon X1200 with up to 831MB (shared) graphic memory. are these good for gaming or do they suck. if they are good wich one is better. please answer, the deals on the laptops are ending soon.|||Well, I tried researching around for the ATI card and not much came out of the AIT-AMD website, other than a benchmark tests, and those tests seemed quite low for gaming now in days. Although your best bet would have to be with nvidia. After all nvidia is heard to be best on games.

That ATI version on the laptop is pretty low end version also. Its the 690g series, which is just for the user that doesn't really do much with their computer or anything intense, although i could be wrong. The reason i would go for the nvidia is because it would be a better choice, also for a long run. Also, the ATI version has shared memory, which for my taste is pretty bad. i wanted to get info on how much does it have and there was one and had 128mb on it, very low. so again nvidia would win on memory, after all memory is pretty crucial for video cards.

So under these two, the nvidia would win, but if you really want a laptop for gaming, i would look elsewhere because maybe these laptops aren't cut for it. For example, you can probably play halo 2 on the thing with nvidia, but it would have to be played on low settings. but if price is a problem for you, then by all means get the nvidia laptop or whichever is your choice.

if you would like a good deal for gaming laptop check out this one, i was even thinking of buying it when i was cruising down best buy on the laptop section. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?…

but i always recommend making it yourself at the manufacturer's website that way its flexible on your wallet, while getting the things you want.
